Consulting
and CIO/CTO Services
Bristol Systems Inc. (BSI) provides consulting
services devoted to the identification, solution, development and program
management of system problems. Almost all such problems involve a
combination of business, strategy and technology issues. Good solutions address these in
a balanced way not only in the initial planning but also dynamically throughout
the program. While BSI accepts the entire outsourced project, we typically
integrate our activities with client resources to provide the most cost
effective solution for our customers.
Many companies do not need a full time Chief Information
Officer (CIO) or Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Bristol Systems provides
a staff of technologists that serve as a virtual CIO or CTO either on a
continuing retainer basis or on a project basis to companies of all sizes.
Areas of particular technical expertise include networked
system design, high-availability, mobile computing,
database management, Windows, Linux, security, internationalization, risk assessment, and systems which require unique mixtures of hardware
and software. Of special interest is system design wherein we combine
designs for high-availability together with quality processes to reduce total
life-cycle costs - Six Sigma, ISO 9000:2000 and AS9000B
For owners and managers of multi-tenant buildings, we provide
a special building evaluation service designed to prepare buildings to be "Internet
Ready". Sorting out the various definitions of "Internet
Ready" in the context of a particular building or portfolio includes an
analysis of internal cabling, use of fiber optics, use of multiple bandwidth
providers, providing network services, etc. Bristol Systems Inc. can
assist you with this analysis and will prepare written reports, formal requests
for proposals, and recommendations for building upgrades. Our extensive
experience with commercial office buildings allows us to offer special CTO
services for landlords.
